Seminary Graduation
While talking to some people, Katie took the graduates from our ward (minus Brooke Anderson who had already left) and snapped some pics.
Then she started getting creative :)
Proud of Matt for finishing and for doing the little bit of make up work required before graduation...I'm telling you...that Senioritis!
That last week of school was the Riverhawk Walk for the Seniors. I knew Matt didn't think it was a big deal and wouldn't want me to come so I skipped it but Benji's mom sent me some pics.
Last choir concert...
Matt participated in both Resonance and Rhapsody again this trimester.
And the seniors were recognized...
That's a whole lot of seniors in the choir!
'Da Boyz' as Matt would say with Tim Stewart, their director who was new this year.
Matt really liked Tim and had some nice, long talks about life with him...intermixed with learning his Singin in the Rain songs during 5th hour 2nd trimester.
Benji, Matt, Chasen and Dax Quilter.
The Quilters moved here just this past year from Missouri and they have been a fabulous addition to Matt's group of friends.
(There was some kind of story behind Chasen's hair but I didn't get the details)
It had been a while since I had done any cookies...since Singin' in the Rain...and I had a hankering to do some graduation sets. I wanted to make some for Matt and his friends but as I suspected, he was not super interested in handing them out to anyone (I don't blame him) so I set aside a set for him and put the rest on Instagram to sell. I have had people inquire before if I had cookies for sale for different occasions so I thought they might sell well. I had about 15 sets. Only two of them sold. I was quite disappointed and had a whole lot extra cookies that I didn't know what to do with.
I ended up giving a few away when I had the chance and froze the rest.
I think I have learned my lesson about making cookies and hoping to sell them without a request.
Katie got very creative with the seminary grad's photos in her husband's office (I'm assuming).
ReplyDeleteWhere do the seniors go on the Riverhawk Walk?
I saw Tim Stewart talking to Dallin after the last night of Pimpernel. He looked familiar, but I couldn't recall why. Carol told me that he and Dallin are good friends and have been in shows together, but Tim didn't try out for Pimpernel, because he has been working on his thesis. He is fun to watch as a conductor.
I can't believe those cookies didn't sell. I think they are clever and so "well done".
