The week after the wedding, with Ang and Maggie still in town and Abby at girls camp, we decided to do a family splash pad night. This may sound sad but I don't think we've ever taken my kids to a splash pad :( I've always been worried about how Ben would do...worried that he would slip and hit his head or something...I don't know.
Anyway, we decided to give it a go.
Grandpa was a good sport and got in the water too...
Ben loved it for a little while and then he was done and all he wanted to do was sit in the grass and throw a ball.

Maggie followed Matt around and when he laid down on the brick wall, she laid down on the brick wall :)
And copied his positions on the towel too...
James and Andy were able to join us after work for a picnic
It was a pleasant evening...something we should repeat in the future if I can talk myself into it :)
