Bryan Family Reunion

The evening after Grandma's funeral we drove down to Park City to join the Bryan family reunion in process.
As the families get older and kids graduate, go on missions and get married it obviously gets harder to have everyone together at the same time so we were missing a bunch but we still had a good crowd and it was good to see those that were able to make it.
One day we went to Jordanelle Reservoir.
The kids enjoyed the water while most of the adults stayed out :)

Ben, of course, was content to just sit and throw a ball back and forth with whoever would play with him...

Sibling pic!
Andy was the only one not wearing his reunion shirt...

...or sunglasses :)

Abs and some of the girlies...

Andy wanted Ben to have a chance in the water so he took him out in a kayak...

Time was cut a little short on the water as lightening was spotted.

There was some lovely cooler weather while in Park City.
I had to go sit out on the back porch and enjoy it.

This was my view for much of the trip...

Ben loved sitting at the top of the stairs and throwing the ball down and having me throw it back up to him over and over and over.  We literally did it for multiple hours while we were there.

Grandma Kidd's Funeral

Grandma Kidd passed away about a week after her fall in the rest home.
She was so ready...had been for years.

A couple of bouquets...if you look closely this first one has Hershey kisses in it...because she loved them :)

This one was sent from my in-laws...

I thought the casket spray was beautiful!
And Grandma was such a master quilter so it was beautifully fitting to have one of her quilts draped across the coffin.

The next several pictures are from the viewing the night before the funeral...

And then these are from the viewing before the funeral...

I was able to accompany two of the musical numbers...my mom and two aunts and then my cousin Dallin.

All the granddaughters/granddaughters in law and great granddaughters sang "I Often Go Walking".

My sister Angie spoke and did such a beautiful job!

Such a neat hearse!

Grandma was buried in Avon next to Grandpa....such a beautiful cemetery.
The pallbearers...

The siblings...

After the graveside there was a luncheon back at the church.
We were all headed to Park City after the events of the day but Matt had extra packing to do since he was going straight to camp from Park City so he got dropped off at home to get his stuff together.

Ben was being silly with Uncle James :)

Had I known we would be taking group pictures after the luncheon I would not have let Matt stay home.
No one got a shot of the whole group because we were all in it but here are a couple of all the cousins and then all the girl cousins.

These were taken on the steps of the church just a few doors down from Grandma and Grandpa's home.
The first five years of my life were spent in the basement apartment of that home so I have fond memories of attending church here.  It's a beautiful, old building.

Grandma was a lovely woman and even though she will be missed I am so happy she has been able to move on and reunite with Grandpa.
One of my favorite things about Grandma was her amazing whit!  She was sharp and sassy and had the best little laugh.  I say it was halfway between a giggle and a snicker.  I call it a sniggle :)
