After making my pysanky Easter egg cookies in the spring I really wanted to learn how to do the real thing. I ordered supplies and started practicing. I knew in the back of my mind I really wanted to try and make this work for my homemade Christmas ornaments this year.
This is one of my first rounds. I was experimenting with etching the egg in vinegar. I thought it looked so cool in there with all the bubbles :)
The pysanky saga will continue in coming posts.
I met a lovely woman over lunch in August. She is the spouse of a co worker of Andy's and, as I mentioned earlier, I've been making birthday cookies for these sweet ladies. When I gave them to her she asked if I did wedding cookies. She needed 12 dozen cookies for her daughter's reception that was two weeks away.
Well, that was the biggest order I had ever received and the first order for wedding cookies but I wanted to take on the challenge so I said yes :)
Colors were blush and navy blue and it was fun to do it for Olsens since that is my maiden name!!!
I had a friend who is a SAHM returning to college. I knew she was a big nervous about it so I wanted to do some fun cookies for her.
These are what I came up with...
It was a fun, no pressure set to make!
Your cookies always leave me in awe. As I have said before, you didn't learn this from me. I never liked the hassle of making and decorating sugar cookies, so we rarely did it when you were young. And look at you go!
