Missionary Moments

One of these days we won't have that ugly particle board background during our calls :)

This was a neat missionary call...

We headed up to Kidd family camp while talking to Josh.

I wanted him to be able to see and speak to Herm and Norma before they left on their mission to the Philipines.

Josh had just been transferred to Alexandria and that is where Herm and Norma used to live.

They  have been very supportive of Josh on his mission and I just thought it would be neat if they could touch base.

They chatted for a few minutes and found out that Josh is attending church in the same building that was there when they were there 40+ years ago.

I was grateful they took the time to say hi...I think Josh enjoyed it.

And this is the night Ben and I moved out to Young Ward.

Josh was able to witness some of the destruction of the cabinets etc.  

I think he likes being involved that way :)

 

Island Park

My SIL invited everyone up to Island Park to her parents cabin for a few days.

We stopped by Mesa Falls on the way up...

I had never been to Island Park

Becky's family has a nice cabin right on a reservoir there.

The big draw was Uncle Mike's new boat.

We even got Ben out on it and after the initial shock of it, he seemed to really enjoy himself :)

Ben has always liked Uncle Mike :)

Matt got out on the surf board...and after a couple of attempts got up and stayed up for quite a while!

Our last evening there we went for a boat ride at dusk...

This was in the opposite direction of the sunset and we thought the lighting was very cool!

 It was a great little trip for our family!
