My SIL invited everyone up to Island Park to her parents cabin for a few days.
We stopped by Mesa Falls on the way up...
I had never been to Island Park
Becky's family has a nice cabin right on a reservoir there.
The big draw was Uncle Mike's new boat.
We even got Ben out on it and after the initial shock of it, he seemed to really enjoy himself :)
Ben has always liked Uncle Mike :)
Matt got out on the surf board...and after a couple of attempts got up and stayed up for quite a while!

Our last evening there we went for a boat ride at dusk...
This was in the opposite direction of the sunset and we thought the lighting was very cool!
It was a great little trip for our family!
What fun! I can't believe you have never been to Island Park, but technically you have been "through" Island Park whenever you drive to the West Yellowstone park entrance. The highway is there main street, and when I lived there they held some record as the longest main street in any US city. I don't know if that still holds.

I got a photo very similar to your last one, sometime earlier this summer. I want to understand how those light rays are formed on the opposite side from where the sun is!?! Mine is over the Bear River Range (east side of the valley) when I was on an evening walk.
