Christmas Creations

This is basically what my ornaments ended up looking like this year.  Some of them looked a little different based on the material Amazon sent me at different times but these were my favorite looking ones.

I made approx. 175 gift-able ornaments again this year.
I'm not sure how many I made before I felt like I had the hang of things and they were looking good enough to give away...probably around 20 or so.  Each one took about 15 minutes to complete.

Originally, I wanted to do them all in the double sided velvet ribbon but I also had a bunch of this gingham and thought it looked kind of fun so I put that to use as well.

I used some magnolia leaves in my photoshoot I had leftover from some arrangements I had made earlier.

At Thanksgiving I still didn't have an idea for our Christmas card but while visiting family for the holiday, Andy's brother showed us an AI video making app that everyone was getting a kick out of.
From that came the idea and Andy helped me fine tune it and create the QR codes.

I generated the picture on the front and then had each of the family members create a video to be reached by the QR codes on the back and made sure to add a couple of pictures that were "real" too.  The ironic thing is that I used a form of AI to clean up the back and foreground of the family picture in front of the Provo Temple...oh well :)

I wasn't planning on doing any Christmas cookies but Andy's aunt contacted me and asked if I would be willing to do some for her DUP Christmas luncheon.  She needed 2.5 dozen and gave me complete freedom to do whatever I wanted but also emphasized I was to do something easy so I wouldn't be stressed out:)

These wet on wet designs were just the ticket!
I tried a candy cane but wasn't happy with the results so I ended up with the snowflake instead.

Last year I made some December baptism chocolate cookies that had peppermint icing.
I loved the combination so I decided to do the same thing here.

Cheryl and Scott drove an hour to come pick them up and payed me way more than she should have!
We hadn't talked about pricing and so honestly, I was wondering if I was doing these out of the goodness of my heart haha!  She said she looked online and saw about how much people payed for this type of cookie and handed me about $50 more than I would have charged.  When I tried to give some back she refused and off they went.
Aunt Cheryl was so kind to call afterwards and let me know how much they were enjoyed by her group!
I was so glad to hear that they had been appreciated and worth the effort and money for her.
