Christmas Day

At first, Ben was not having it with the annual pic in front of the tree Christmas morning...
but what's new....that's usually the case.

But then somehow the kids were able to get him to cooperate and smile...

Ben checking out the Christmas Mickey Mouse wrapping paper I found

The bee woof-woof!
When Matt was born, Mom gave this little bee dog to him and he has kept it all these years.
Sometimes, when Matt forgets to close his bedroom door and Ben goes downstairs, he will take advantage of the open door and go collect things from Matt's room and bring them upstairs.
One of his favorites is the bee dog.  Matt is pretty possessive of it though and doesn't like Ben playing with it so several months ago I decided I would look for a duplicate to give Ben for Christmas.  Luckily I was able to find one on Ebay.  I think Matt was as happy about it as Ben was :)

Once Ben recognized what was on the wrapping paper he actually went over to the tree and found a couple more gifts, grabbed them and brought them over to his spot.  He's never done anything like that before so I thought it was pretty cute :)

Ben giving Matt's leg a hug...

Ben discovering Bapa and O's gift to him...Super Why toys...which are not easy to find!
Well done Grandma Jannie!
He loves them :)

New shoes can't compete with Super Why toys...

Sibling gifts get a little silly :)

Brunch at the dome...

Anne Utton from Young Ward joined us for the meal and pleasant conversation afterward.
Once again, I don't know why I got so few pictures :(

I don't even have any of that evening.
I had to ask Andy what we did and we think the boys came over to our house for games but I really don't remember much which is terrible!
One thing I do remember though is thinking often throughout the day how much better of a Christmas it was than the year before when Ben was sick and then had a seizure and broke his arm while opening presents.  The rest of the day was spent trying to find an insta-care that was open and finally ending up at the ER and taking care of a miserable Ben :(
So this year was much more pleasant and enjoyable :)
