The most special day of our cruise because it was Josh's birthday!
Cinco de Mayo no less :)
The boat docked at Mazatlan that morning and we went exploring as a family again.
We walked The Blue Line (you can see it here to the right of the tree)
It took us through some cool places...
a kind of art district...
a beautiful church...
Ben found Jesus and kept pointing to Him :)
and it eventually ended at a large market where we spent some time
It was super hot and I was feeling pretty drained. Did I mention already that I came down with a cold on day 3? It was too bad :( I didn't want to be feeling unwell on our trip of course but at the same time, it could have been a lot worse.
Anyway, as cool of a place as it was, I was ready to head back to the ship and rest in an air conditioned room.
Josh had to get a picture with this street sign :)
Andy said our kids should get a Mexican Coke on our long walk back so we found a little convenience store and bought three.
While Ben and I rested in the room, Andy went and spent some time with the older kids.
Josh had all kinds of shrimp for his birthday dinner :)
Ben and his fries
I believe this was the first night we noticed a sugar free dessert option so Andy partook.
Ben was a pretty happy camper that night!
Josh was sung to and given a second dessert (not of his choosing)
So after all the servers had left and Josh noticed it was carrot cake with nuts in it (he is allergic) he passed it over to Matt and Abby and they scarfed it down in a jiffy!
And then some dancing and celebration!
the macarena...
Josh chose to spend our evening at a magic/comedy show
Ben was a good buddy and lasted through the whole show...he was just a little loud at times :)
I hope Josh had a great birthday!
We certainly enjoyed spending his Cinco de Mayo b-day in Mazatlan :)
