Ben was asked to Inclusion Prom!
This was our response...
I had fun making some flowers for Brooklyn
I had his brothers come get a picture with him before he headed out on his first date :)
We dropped him off and got some pictures of him and his date Brooklyn Brand.
I hope to one day receive the professional pictures they assured me would be taken!
Andy and I went and saw a movie after we dropped him off.
About 30 or 40 minutes before we were supposed to pick him up we got a text from his teacher saying we could come get him any time because he was acting like he was done :)
They said he had a good time though!
Ben has a good friend named Sam.
Ben and I went to visit Sam one day at his house.
We ended up in his bedroom and Ben started collecting all kinds of fun things.
I knew that would be a problem when it was time to go.
It was but after some stealthy strategies, a battle and some physical manipulation I was able to get him back in the car. Ben still talks about it (in his own way of course :)
May was a busy month at the flower studio!
Here are a couple of memorial day arrangements I did...
And then I think the one on the left was a birthday and the one on the right was a funeral request.
We were given the circular metal thing in the middle to incorporate and so I suggested a wreath and was given the assignment to design it :) It was kind of fun!
We had a combined meeting for 5th Sunday and I pulled out my camera at one point to try and keep Ben happy.
I realized this was his last day as a 16 year old :)

Oh, this makes me smile and cry at the same time to see Ben go to prom! Clever response.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to see Ben with Brooklyn. So did you ever see the end of the movie?
I can imagine trying to get Ben out of Sam's room without all of Sam's things.
I love seeing your beautiful flower arrangements. That was a very unique funeral request, but you did an amazing job with it.
That is a very special "almost-not-16-anymore" young man!
