Josh's piano teacher encouraged him to participate in the Young Artist Cup which is a competition for performing arts for the two High Schools on the south end of the valley.
True to form, Josh was somewhat lukewarm about the whole idea, so...with much STRONG encouragement from his parents, he finally agreed to do it.
He chose to play Root Beer Rag.
He worked hard over the next few weeks to finish memorizing it.
I was so stinkin' proud of him for doing it!
I was also extremely nervous until he was done performing.
He did such a great job!
Man, I was so pleased with his efforts and willingness to go out of his comfort zone!
I gave him a bouquet of Root Beer afterward instead of flowers...
The song was super appropriate since it is his favorite soda :)
