While in Hawaii, and talking to my family on Sunday evening, James asked if we had plans for Josh's 18th birthday. When I said we really didn't he suggested a Cinco de Mayo street taco fiesta!
I have always thought we should do a Mexican themed party for him seeing that he is our Cinco de Mayo baby but I have just never actually done it. I was thrilled that James suggested it and was able to confidently move forward with it knowing he had all the food taken care of :)
James came early and prepped everything and then showed us how to put together the most authentic street tacos he knows how to make.
It was a semi-surprise for Josh.
He was excited to find out so much of the family was coming to celebrate!
(T was not feeling well so she didn't come but everyone else made it)
If we are outside you better believe Ben is going to rope someone into playing ball with him...
Time for the pinata...
James whacked that bad boy down with his first attempt...
It got a little bit chilly so we moved back inside and did photo booth pics, presents and cake.
One of Josh's gifts that he asked for was a little booklet about the year he was born.
He had fun quizzing us on all the facts from it.
He decided that the year 2003 was somewhat depressing :)
So grateful to everyone for coming and celebrating with us!
We've got such a great and supportive family.
James made the birthday boy happy by rounding out the night with a little switch time...
I love this boy of mine!
He's a gentle and considerate guy with a sense of humor and creative juices flowing through his veins.
Can't believe he's 18 and on his way to becoming a man!
