I kept busy with cookies during the month of February.
I was called to teach the 7 year olds in Primary at the beginning of the year and I decided to do birthday cookies for each of them.
At the time, there were only two girls in the class and their birthdays were in the same week.
I wanted to send valentine cookies to Josh but at the same time I didn't want to make them lovey dovey valentine cookies :)
So I decided to find some scriptures about love and turn those into cookies...
These were part of the package as well.
Funny story about this...
When I asked Josh if he received the cookies and if Elder Elison liked his, he seemed to not know what I was talking about. Turns out, he opened the box, saw the cookies on top and didn't unpack them all...just started eating them out of the box. Elder Elison's cookie was on the bottom, so by the time Josh knew it was there, Elder Elison probably got a pretty dry, stale cookie :)
Our good friends and neighbors sent out a missionary in February and I took these over to her during her home MTC.
These were the cookies I made for some other friends of mine for Valentine's Day...
I had this cute penguin cutter and wanted to use it somehow so I had to come up with a pun for the holiday :)
When I heard Abby and her young women group were having a tea party I knew I wanted another opportunity to practice and use my teacup and teapot cutters that I had bought a while ago.
I ended up not liking the shape of the cutters...I had to file some sides down a bit and even then I didn't think they were a very good shape...I'll have to look for something else if I want to do tea party cookies in the future.
For my good friend Karlie's birthday, I almost always give her a book so I made some cookies to go along with it this time. On my visit to her house to deliver her gift I found out their family is a pretty healthy, whole food type family so I guess I won't be doing cookies for her anymore :)
