This is Abby's Alaskan crew that she had so much fun with the 4 1/2 months she was there.
Eventually, it was time for her to come home though and we were happy to receive her!
Her flight came in late afternoon of Conference Sunday.
Andy and the two boys went to go pick her and her 90 lbs. of fish up from the airport.
It was so fun to have her walk through the door!
She had prepared me for a fishy stench to encompass her and everything she brought back, but honestly, I really haven't smelled it at all!
That night the fam came over for dinner and many festivities;
* Matt's B-day celebration
*Welcome Abby home
*Traditional General Conference Quiz
*Treat Tasting from Mom and Dad's latest cruise.
After dinner, Mom assembled her spread!
Mostly Norwegian chocolates and goodies!
(Correct me if I am wrong Mom)
Everything was labeled and delicious :)
It was so fun to experience the different flavors. My favorite was probably the black currant white chocolate!
Ben was enjoying having Abby home :)
Mom always has a basket or two full of yummy prizes for the participants.
Then it was time to celebrate Matt!
He finally had his cheesecake!
He had either not been feeling well or the family had not been together the few nights since his birthday so this was our first chance to partake.
Here Abby is counting her mucho tip moolah as we all ate our cheesecake.
I guess on the drive to get Abby, Matt started feeling his nausea come back from his birthday adventure so he was kind of low key for much of the evening. But it was a fun night having most of the family together and celebrating so many things!
It was a very fun night. Yes, it was mostly Norwegian treats, but there were a few things from Amsterdam--the Stroop Waffles, and the little round hard candies with the designs in them, and the salted caramel M&Ms.
