Missionary Moments

Snapshots of our conversations with Josh in September...

Here, Andy had taken Matt over to the church so he could practice the piano since ours was out of commission.  Not much piano practicing got done but he did work on his part for the musical while he was there.

Abby started joining in on calls from her apartment at UVU...

I loved this one with all four kids :)

Conference Walk and Matt's B-day Dinner

Fall General Conference spanned the last day of September and the first of October.
Between the 2nd and 3rd sessions on Saturday, Jo, T, Andy, Abby and I all hiked Wayne's Loop.
The colors have been amazing this year.  Everyone says it is because of the crazy, long winter we had so...maybe that was all worth it because this fall has been incredible!

Since Abby was up for the weekend we decided to do Matt's birthday dinner a couple of days early.
Dad offered to keep Ben at the dome so it was just the four of us.  Matt choseThe Olive Garden.
These two were being silly together so I snapped a few pics.
I'm sure glad they get along :)

Homecoming for Matt

Matt asked his good friend, Holly, to Homecoming...

Cute and silly pics to follow...

September Home Progress

A lot happened at the house in September!
We had our LVP installed.  It made a huge difference in how things looked!

And then the day finally arrived for cabinets to be installed and things came off (almost) without a hitch.

A few days later we had the upstairs carpet installed!

Things were also happening on the outside at this point.  The the old vinyl siding was removed and new, white siding put on everywhere except for the front of the house.

When they took the siding off of the front, 1) we realized the original builder had never put house wrap on 😒 and 2) an inordinate amount of wasp nests were revealed.  The guy said he had never seen so many on a house before.

Couches came and we started being able to have Ben stay a little bit after he got off the bus since there was a place for him to settle.

Also, our banister/stair railings were installed!
I was so happy with them!  Bishop Giles did a beautiful job!
