Abby and the Diversity Assembly

The kids' high school had their first Diversity Week.  They had Abby's hula group perform at the assembly.  It had been a long time since they had had a chance to perform because of COVID so it was a pleasure to watch!

Saying hello to Auntie Sheba and Uncle Jack...

I am sorry for the abundance of seemingly redundant pictures...

Senior Pictures and Flowers

My cute SIL, T, took Josh's senior pics for us.
We started up at the temple...

My bro, Jo, giving Josh pointers on how to pose...

I wish I would have gotten a picture of Josh and T!

We ended up on the steps of the Logan 1st ward building where I went to church the first five years of my life.  I hadn't realized they had painted the steps yellow :(

These are the shots that were our favorite and T worked on fixing up...

She did a great job and worked really hard to get rid of the yellow on the steps.

I LOVE this one!
Such a handsome guy!!!

As I was working on announcements I realized I needed one more shot so I took him out to the grassy area at the church and took some amateur pics.

I'm really happy with how the announcement turned out!

I know this is a little out of order but
here are some of my favorite sets of flowers I made for girls' choice...
I was pretty disappointed when Josh's group decided not to do flowers :(

I know this one looks crazy with all those shades of red/pink/purple but I promise it matched the dress :)

These are a couple of ranunculuses/ranunculi (I don't know the proper plural form of ranunculus) that were left over...
I loved their variegated petals :)

Josh and Savannah at Spring Fling

While we were in St George we got a phone call from our neighbor saying we had something on our front porch.  Josh was being asked to the girl's choice dance coming up!
Our neighbor took a picture of it after he started moving it into the garage for us.

When we got home he tried to figure out who it was from but we figured that some of it had blown away before it was moved to the garage.  He decided it was a girl from his improv group because of some references in the asking but he couldn't find a name for the life of him.  He ended up calling a fellow improv friend and asked if he knew who was planning on asking him.  Gratefully he knew and Josh was able to plan a way to respond.

Since she had used improv references he responded in kind and set up a crime scene on her doorstep with this sign...

It turns out his date was involved in State theater the same day as the dance and didn't know if she would get back in time for pictures.  Well, she didn't so most of the rest of the group came to pick him up.  It was so cute...they all came to the door to get him.
I am so frustrated because before they came I got some shots of Josh looking snazzy in his suit and then I got some pics of the group at the door and Josh out on the lawn with them before they left.  They have totally disappeared from my phone...I have looked in every possible place and they have evaporated :(
Anyway, I'm glad we got the following pics from the evening...

Here's the whole group (minus Savanah :)...

They took pics of Josh with his arm out with the intent to photoshop Savanah in later :)

All the girls...again, the arm out for Savanah...

All the guys...

And then Josh and all the girls :)...

...and finally, Josh and his date Savanah!
She was able to meet up with them for dinner.

They had a great time!
