Andy's Birthday...42 Years!

Andy's parents came and took us out to dinner at Cafe Sabor for Andy's Birthday.
Ben was so exhausted from seizures...he slept in my arms the whole time.

Back to the house for gifts afterwards...

Ben got his from Grandpa and Grandma too since it was only two days away...

It's always so good to have them come up and spend time with us.

Then we did a little celebration of our own...which apparently included a toupee...

I had made some snickerdoodles a couple of days earlier that he actually really liked and didn't affect him too much as far as sugar goes so I whipped up another batch and that was his birthday treat.

Love this guy to pieces!
He's such a rock and strength to me.
I'm so grateful for his love, sense of humor and dedication to our family!

Matt's Music Program and 6th Grade Graduation

Matt's music teacher put on a program the last week of school.
These are all the 6th graders...

Matt was surprised to see me there because he didn't tell me anything about it.  He claims he just forgot but I don't know...thank goodness for emails from teachers :)

They all did some numbers together but then each class did an individual one.
He had told us earlier in the year that he had been learning poi balls so it was super fun to see him perform them.

I'm so used to seeing Abby doing these so it was cool for Matt to have his moment too.

The last day of school was a big graduation.
I totally forgot to have Matt dress up.
He didn't forget though and apparently, no jeans IS dressed up :)

So proud of this guy!
He has always been a team player and kind to everyone!
I think he's excited to move on to middle school and the new adventures that await him there.

So glad Josh was able to come support both of his brothers' graduations :)

This is Ben, one of Matt's good friends!

And these are his two teachers this year.
They were great and he seemed to enjoy them both!

I forgot where I had to take Josh later that afternoon but when I came home, I found these two both tuckered out together on the couch.
So sweet!

Memorial Day 2019 and Some Odds and Ends

Sunday evening up at the Olsen graves...

Monday morning in Avon...

Dad went and kept Ben company in the car since we didn't get him out in the cold...

We drove over to Willard after visiting the Paradise graves but I stayed in the car with Ben...I thought I asked Andy to get some pictures of the kids at his grandparents' graves but, well, there are none :)

This was NOT memorial day but I love this shot Abby got from the church lawn after seminary graduation.  It was a beautiful evening.

Also, this pink poppy was given to me as a start from a friend a few years ago and it is one of my favorite plants in my garden.

To me, it is just perfection!

Here's my little guy sleeping off some seizures.  They haven't been terrible lately but they are more frequent than they were last summer.
Also, lately he's taken to running to his bed when the kids tell him "no" to something that he wants.  He will cry there for a while and often fall asleep :(

Piano Recital and Temple Pics

The kids had their spring piano recital.
I feel bad but this is the best pic I could get of Josh because of his music in his face....

They all did well and it's always a relief for them to have it over with.

Spur of the moment, less than an hour before the recital, I decided that since 3 of the 4 kids would be dressed up anyway, we should get family and individual kid pics done afterward.  So we all hurried and got dressed and tried to coordinate.  Mom and Dad were willing to come and help out so that was great!
We had a hard time getting situated on the rocks...

It took a few tries but we finally got one we were happy with...

Ben was being a bit of a pill...
but we eventually ended up capturing a normal one

I thought this one was funny of Matt...kind of the windblown look...
Then a great one!...love that smile!

Abby is always a fan of making goofy faces in pictures...

Look how grown up this guy looks!
So handsome!

So glad we made the effort!
Also, as we finished up and were getting in the car, it started to rain.
