Christmas Creations

This is how our Christmas card turned out...although, it looks really washed out in this pic...sorry!

...and this one's blurry!
(I realized as I am writing this the second to last day in February that I never got pics of the card or my ornament this year so I had Matt drag all the tubs out to get to the back of the storage area so I could find both items and get pics.  Therefore, I am a little to lazy to go down and try and get better pics :)

I have already posted about my pysanky debacle earlier so this is what I came up with as my last minute ornament.  I just got unfinished wood ornaments from Michael's, stained them and then used a white paint marker to draw a (hopefully) Nordic looking design.
I usually get a big picture of all or most of the ornaments but since I was running behind I was packaging them up and handing them out as soon as I could get a bunch done so I never took the time to get a mass shot.  I did make between 150-175.  I tried to cut down on my list in some areas but I also added the 35 members of the Institute faculty and staff so I don't know that I simplified things at all 😬

I used my cookie projector to write on the back of all of them.

Speaking of cookies...
With my ornament issues I really didn't have time to make as many cookies as I wanted.
I got these done though and gave them to Ben's teachers, my primary class and maybe one other group...I can't remember.
I had had this idea to do stick cookies and attach a mini cookie to each of them.  They kind of turned out, but not quite like I had in my head.
I was also disappointed that when it came time to use my projector to write Merry Christmas on the star sticks, I couldn't get it to work and I had to rely on my not so great handwriting :(

  1. You do so well at all you put your mind (and hand) to. Another clever card. I really likes your last minute ornaments. And the stick cookies are very cute, IMHO.
