July Odds and Ends

Blogger put my pictures in backwards so we'll start at the end of July and work our way to the beginning...

On the last day of July we, with the help of family and friends, ripped out our cabinets and that evening, Ben and I moved out to my parents' home 15 minutes away.

This is not an odd or an end but I didn't have enough to make it its own post....
Matt received his patriarchal blessing from Brother Stowers just three or four weeks after Abby did.
Another great experience and so happy for Matt!

Occasionally, I will get a random text from a woman in Northern Virginia that hosted Josh and his companion for dinner or some other event.  This one was fun since she is the good friend of a good friend of mine here in Utah.  So fun to make connections and to be able to thank those who are taking care of my son while he serves :)

Matt got a second job at Maceys on the front end.
His pose is saying, "I don't know why you're taking a picture...it's not a big deal" :)

A sweet friend that lives down the way from me has a cute, little flower farm.  She was going to be out of town for a while and invited me to go harvesting while she was away.

It was so much fun!

This is one of seven bouquets I made.
I was also able to add in some of my own sunflowers, and pink and white hydrangeas.
I have never really used my hydrangeas in arrangements so that was neat for me!

A couple of weeks before that, the same friend had picked a bunch and given to another friend to enjoy while she went hiking in the Dolomites!  *SWOON*  One of my dreams!
Anyway, this other friend invited me over to have fun with them as well so here are a few of the bouquets I made with that round of flowers.

Some amazing clouds rolled in during a walk around the neighborhood...

A good friend of mine had a surprise 50th b-day party put on by her husband.
I was able to drop in for a few minutes.

So much of my camera roll these days is flooring samples.
Sometimes, when Andy is with me he tries to make it fun :)

We drove by the Institute to see progress.
They are projecting classes will resume in the new building by January '25.
At least our home should be done before that :)

We decided instead of a big family vacation this year that Andy would take Abby and Matt on a couple of smaller excursions.
For the first one they went rock hounding down south.
I wish I could name all the places here but not having been there and with Andy absent at the moment I will just have to place the pics and be satisfied...

Watering Grandma Edith Marsing's tree at Temple Junction.

They saw something pretty amazing in the night sky one evening.
They were so confused as to what it could be at the time but later found out it was space X rocket launching from California.

  1. Fun and important odds and ends. I was struck by the fact that you have a whole lot of friends.
Matt looks distinguished in his suit. A great shot of Josh. Fun to have that connection.
Very pretty and fun flower arrangements. And cool clouds.
Oh, Andy. Never a dull moment. ;)
