Josh's Concert and C.J.

Josh has been involved in the Institute Singers all school year and they had their final concert in the tabernacle on my birthday.
They truly are an incredible group and it was such a pleasure to hear them perform in this beautiful, historic building!

Their last song, Then Sings My Soul, which was combined with the other institute choir was incredible!  There weren't many dry eyes.  As a matter of fact, it even brought T to tears, who freely admits she isn't emotional or very into music!  It was a terrific birthday present :)

The Neigh and Flowers

One morning in April I was driving downtown and saw that the Utah was showing Tangled for free that night.  I thought how fun it would be to take Ben.  I don't usually do things like that since I am a home body and my reasoning is that Ben doesn't know the difference and taking him anywhere is usually a bit of a hassle.  This was too good to pass up though so I let Andy know of my intentions and invited him if he was able to join us.

With the help of our new chair, graciously provided by Dad, I was able to get Ben there and settled in the theater.

We had to wait quite a bit with the previews and everything and in the mean time Ben got a bit anxious since I had promised him "The Neigh" and it wasn't happening.
Finally it started and Andy came in a few minutes later.
It was such a joy to watch Ben watch one of his favorite movies on the big screen!  He was pretty happy and sat through the whole thing and either loudly "quoted" the movie or was loudly getting our attention to tell us who was on the screen the whole time :)  Usually, in public settings like this I do all I can to distract him and keep him as quiet as possible but this time, for the most part, I just let him do his thing and really hoped everyone else would be super patient and understanding.
No one complained to our faces so I hope that means everyone was okay :)

What a night I will remember and treasure!
Ben's smile and excitement were absolutely worth all the effort.

Some dance flowers I did in April...

I can't remember if I've mentioned yet on here but my birthday cookie idea for the year didn't work out and so I've been doing flower arrangements for all of Andy's faculty members spouses/secretaries.
I found these gorgeous gerbs for a batch of bouquets and was just in love with them!

Matt's Wisdom Teeth

This was our first real experience with wisdom teeth in the family.  Josh only had one that was ready to come out before his mission and we have been slow to do Abby's.

Matt had all four that needed to be removed.  It was a pretty slick appointment.  When he was all done they had me bring the car around back to pick him up.  He was pretty hilarious.  Just seemed kind of dazed and simple :)  One of the first things he did was check his hair in the mirror :)
Once we were on our way he immediately started calling people.  I believe the order was Benji, Maggie, Andy and then Abby.  I had to try and translate for everyone.

When we got home we hurried and got some food and meds in him and then he went to the front window to watch for Benji who was coming to play the switch with him.  While waiting, his phone all of a sudden started playing music to which he promptly started dancing :)

Josh joined in...

Benji arrived and was greeted with a hug.

After some small talk and getting the switch set up they (including Josh) played for a few hours.
As they played Matt's loopiness began to wear off and he was feeling pretty normal by the time Benji left that evening.

It was a great day full of lots of funny lines from Matt!
I got some pretty good videos along the way :)
