July Odds and Ends

My good friend Jami Werner celebrated her birthday in style with a beautiful tea party in her amazing backyard and almost finished "she shed".

I made some mini lemon scones and raspberry brownies for the occasion.

Ben had a seizure as I was finishing getting the food ready to take.  I was not ready at that point either and Andy was away on a camping trip with the young men so I had a friend come grab my treats and was rather late myself to the party.  However, I made it just in time to join in the group picture in Jami's flower shed.

Afterward, we ate, played flower bingo, stitched and chatted.
She is such a delightful person and put on quite a classy tea party.
It was really quite fun!

Another beautiful sunset...

T finished our painting we commissioned a while back!
We are so excited to get it framed and up on the wall!

Ben had his year follow up on his hip.  We thought we would be done with the follow ups after this but they want to see us again in 6 months just because he's not out of the woods yet as far as the bone deciding to die :(  So far though things look really healthy!
There was this huge teddy bear on the way out and we had to stop and get a pic :)

The time had come for Matt to get his hair cut.
It was decided that he would do what he could with the razor and then Andy would clean it up.

Abby wanted to be a part of it so we got her on FaceTime.

I think he was having a little bit of a hard time taking the first swipe...

He really didn't get much with the first one so he went a few more times...

And then it was obvious :)

He kept it going...

And then it was time for Andy to step in...

...and it got serious :)

He looks good!
It took a while for us all to get used to seeing him like this but it's a good look!

A good picture of Ben and Gma!

  1. That looks like some Tea Party! Those are cute shots of T with the painting, and Ben with the bear.
I really enjoyed the progression on Matt's haircut. And I agree that it is a good look on him.
