Matt "Opens" His Call

 Matt wanted to gather his friends and read his mission call.  We also had several family members and friends that couldn't make it join us through Zoom and Instagram Live.

I didn't provide any food or anything...we kept it really low key.

I had suggested to Matt that he may want to prelude the reading with a little explanation so people weren't totally thrown off with the service mission call.  No one would be expecting it and I didn't want it to be awkward for anyone.

I was grateful he decided to take my advice and did a great job of prepping his guests.

His friends were super supportive!

I was so grateful.  Not that I expected them to be any less, but I was just so thankful in that moment that he has such awesome friends who would cheer him on no matter what.

There was general chatter and good socialization for a while after.

Ben really paid extra attention to Emily...when she told us that she had been a peer tutor it all made sense.

After the last guests had left, I caught Ben having a quiet moment by himself.
