Matt had his 19th b-day.
I tried to make it special but it was hard to know what to do 😬
It was our stake temple day and also Matt's regular ordinance worker day so Andy and I did a session in the morning and I caught a glimpse of Matt waiting at the veil when I walked in the room. Our session ended not too long before Matt got off so I waited around for him outside. His friend Seth showed up and we chatted for a bit until Matt came out. I talked Matt into letting me take him to lunch. On our way to our cars we ran into Katie Young and her daughters getting ready to go do baptisms.
We went to Zupas and then he went off to his next assignment for the day...adaptive needs institute class.
That evening we opened gifts...

His main gift was an amazon subscription to Inca Kola...a fave soda from Peru.
If he rations it, it should work out to about one a week for the coming year haha :)
He chose to go to Firehouse for dinner.
Josh hadn't been able to get it off but he was able to make Matt's pizza and then join us at the table and eat while he was on break.
Then, back at home we did candles on a big pan of smurtles.
When Josh got off of work we learned Matt's new game, Twice as Clever.
The next night, Anna and her mom Amy came over to drop off a small gift for him.
They came in and chatted for a little bit.
Amy got pictures before they left. Anna was headed to the MTC in a few days
Then, that Sunday at the dome, after the conference quiz and everything, we celebrated with the Olsens.

Happy 19th Matt!
We love you so much and are so grateful for the man you have become.
