We had all kinds of concerts and such in December...
For Josh's cello recital he played a Star Wars duet...
...and also Steven Sharp Nelson's Carol of the Bells with 8 other students.
It was pretty fun to hear.
He also had his orchestra concert.
They did a number with the high school band and all three choirs.
The director (who was my choir teacher in high school) said this was the first time they had done anything like that and it was pretty fantastic.
Josh's favorite number they did was The Mad Russian's Christmas.
Last of all we had the Christmas piano recital which is always duets.
The lighting was terrible for pictures so sorry about that :(
Matt did a great job with his version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen...
Abby and her partner did Fantasy on Jingle Bells which is one I did with my sister years ago...
And Josh had two partners in their trio of We Three Kings...
They all did a great job and I know it was a relief for the kids to be done with it.
We had to leave the recital early to get to the Kidd family Christmas party...of which I will blog about next.
