Bryan Home Addition!

It's happening!
It's really happening :)
I know this post and subsequent similar posts will be incredibly boring to most folks but I want to keep a record of this event so just skip on to the next one if you want ;)

It was a big day when the excavator finally came and started ripping up our patio and digging!

Matt had fun taking Thad out for his free time among the dirt piles while they were there (which was quite a while :)
Thad likes to blend in...it's kind of fun to look for him in these pics!
He is in all of them...I promise!

The hardest part of the excavation was ripping out the cement stairs and getting rid of them.
As a matter of fact, they ended up just burying them when they backfilled.

They tried several things to demolish it but it was a stubborn beast.
It was a project for several days :)
In the end they had to bring in a much larger machine to move it and finish digging the hole for us.

That’s the extent of what happened with our addition from July 12th to July 31st.
More to come in August!

  1. I enjoyed hunting for the bunny. And I have to say that there are a lot of rocks that look like a bunny. You could do a "Where's Thaddeus?" book.
