Institute Parties

The last Religion in Life to be held in this old building was a Christmas program done by the choir.
I love our choir!  They always do such an amazing job!

While there, I was talking to my good friend Emily Keele and she asked if we were going to the Yule Ball that night...the last institute activity in the building.  I had kind of jokingly mentioned it to Andy but I knew he doesn't enjoy dancing so I wasn't truly expecting to go.
However, Emily invited us to double with her and her husband so I quickly arranged for a babysitter since the kids had other plans that night (Charlotte Ardern came over) and I borrowed Abby's dress from prom a couple of years ago (got permission from her while she was in DC) and we were off.  We had coordinated with the Keeles to just each pick up our own meals on the way and we would eat in Andy's office.

We had a delightful time with them...they are such good people!

We didn't stay super long mostly because we don't know how to dance to modern music :)
However, it was so well put together.  The committees had done a fantastic job and from what we heard, we had a much better turn out than the university did that same night with their dance across the way.

I believe it was the next week that we had our final gathering as a faculty with spouses.
We had a meeting at the beginning, then pictures...
Let's see if I can name everyone:
Kneeling: Teresa Jones, Michelle Winward, Bri Wright, Yolanda Thomas, Michelle Griffeth, Emily Keele, Ben Diamond
Next Row: Bruce Chang, Curtis Jacobs, LeGrand Laing, Kurt Rees, Jeremiah Duersch, Brenna Gallup, Katie Ash, Jeanie Chase, Dawn Pitcher, Wayne Henderson, Stephen Hunsaker, Dwayne Weber, Mont Lucherini, my handsome guy :)
Last Row (although staggered): Casey Ashcroft, Joe Fife, Allen Matthews, Paul Heiner, Randy Spaulding, Brent Fillmore, Patrick Degn, Brad Lee, Wade Ardern, Eric Richards, Travis Huckaby, Eric Stauffer, Jon Fuller, Dallin Craven, Mike Lindhardt
Missing: Eldon Roe & Donny Anderson

We had a lovely meal catered...

And then to top it all off, the secretaries had put together a life sized snow globe in the "fishbowl office".
They had shredded tons of paper and had a leaf blower.
They tried to get as many couples to go in as they could.

Andy had already headed over to the university for another meeting so two of my secretary friends (as a matter of fact, Andy's two secretaries he had during his preservice days) hopped in with me and we had some fun :)

 Snow much fun!!!
Love these ladies!
