Dancing Daisies Flower Workshop

These pictures are all out of order and I don't have the energy to try and fix that so I will just throw them all at you and be satisfied with that.

In June, the flower shop that I work for seasonally, invited me to attend a 2 day workshop in Kaysville with Dancing Daisies Floral.
Betsy was a fantastic teacher and we had so much fun!
She was lent her good friend's pool house which was more like an incredible guest house next to the pool :)
She is really in to wearables...not so much for function but for fashion.  Her work has been published in a couple of fancy books :)
She taught us how to make headpieces along with her style of corsages and boutonnieres.

I had only been planning on staying for the first day because of responsibilities at home but after the first day I spoke with Andy and he was fine to let me stay for the first several hours of the next day before I needed to get back for something.  Since I hadn't packed for overnight I ran to target and then the ladies and I went and did some shopping and had dinner at Twigs at Station Park.

The next day we focused on wedding bouquets and other wedding type decor.

This was that night after the ladies had dropped off all of my arrangements and projects.  I hadn't been able to take them with me when I left because they were making a big wedding arch and then having models come in and having a formal photo shoot with all we had done.
Andy was silly and posed for me :)

Yes, I had his permission to post these on the blog...I was amazed he was okay with it!

This is a wilting flower ring that from the first day...to be used as an alternative to a bridesmaid bouquet.

The rest are pictures that were sent to me by Betsy or the other ladies that stayed the whole time and also some screen shots of social media posts.

It's kind of hard to see in this picture on the left but we made a floral chandelier and hung it from the tree.

Anyway, super fun time and we learned a lot of fun things!

  1. I am glad you got to do this. But I don't know that I see the floral headgear catching on in the mainstream--though I could be wrong.
