Thaddeus and New Year's Eve

I don't think these were necessarily the same day as New Year's Eve but I'm going to throw them in here....
Matt found a fun way to feed Thad some matchstick carrots...

He's a pretty cute bunny!

We had Jo and T over for festivities (I believe Dad was still ailing)
We girls painted our nails in glittery colors...

While the boys played rousing rounds of Pass the Pandas...

By this point we had enjoyed a few days of "At Home MTC" with Josh.
I really felt like it was a pleasure to be part of that experience with him.  He worked hard for several hours each day in his classes and then we would find appropriate things to do for the remaining hours of the day.  It was so great hearing him tell us what he was learning each day and about his companion and district members.
New Year's Eve evening he decided to go brush up on his hymns.  He spent quite a bit of time at the piano which I loved!

As I was taking pictures I couldn't help but notice the picture sitting on top of the piano of my little Josh when he was 6 or 7.  Nostalgia swept over me as I looked from the picture to the man he had become.

For our missionary's sake we celebrated New York's New Year...

Ben hedged per usual...

Even Thad got in on the fun!

After Josh went to bed at 10:30 the rest of us sat down and watched Encanto for the first time.
It was super fun!  I loved all the color and the music!  Since then, we (maybe just me:) have become obsessed with We Don't Talk About Bruno!!!
It was a great night!

I will leave you with this parting shot of Jo :)

  1. You guys know how to have fun. Sorry we had to miss it.
Thad looks distinguished in his hat, but I'm not sure how to describe Jo's look in that last photo. Party animal gone wrong, maybe?
